Living the Nine Core Values
"The First Tee of Hammond has had a huge impact on my daughter Destinee's life. I have seen her smile more and have seen her be more responsible. She incorporates the NINE CORE VALUES in her everyday life."
Destinee is a participant in The First Tee of Hammond. She was recently recognized by The First Tee's Scholar Program and awarded a $10,000 college scholarship that she will use in the fall at Xavier University of Louisiana.

Destinee's mother said, "She is starting to love the game. I think it boosted her confidence when she received 1st Place for 2015 The First Tee Hammond Classic Sponsored by the Hammond Optimist Club. The First Tee of Hammond has allowed Destinee to create friendships all around the United States. Most recently, this past October, she represented The First Tee of Hammond in Orlando for Auntie Anne's Leaders and Entrepreneurs Forum. She said that is was an awesome experience. I am very proud of Destinee, and I am truly grateful to The First Tee of Hammond!"
The First Tee teaches Nine Core Values that represent some of the positive values connected with the game of golf: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence,
responsibility, perserverance, courtesy, and judgment.

This spring, The First Tee of Hammond received a Transform Lake County grant to expand its National School Program to more children in Lake County and expose life skills and healthy habits at an early age.
